200th POST
Casual Friday top
Thrifted jacket
Madewell Denim
Seychelles Booties
J. Crew Necklace
Kate Spade Bag
CONGRATULATIONS! You've made it to my 200th post! This is a big deal, bigger than crop tops and a trivia crack win in the sports category (or maybe that's just big for me). Anyway, I've been providing terrible puns and sarcasm on this blog for the past two years. TWO YEARS. What. We've come such a long way since January 8, 2013. We've travelled from high school to college, preppy to grunge, grunge to preppy, black ankle boots to metallic ankle boots, a disney channel obsession to an even bigger disney channel obsession, and much, much more together and I can't thank y'all enough for all your support and love. I can't wait to see where this journey takes us this year and beyond. I love you all so much. Thank you!
Love,
Maggie
p.s. this is one of the only times you'll see me get sappy (wait who I am kidding this happens on a daily basis.
p.p.s. don't forget to follow me on Instagram and read my CollegeFashionista posts!

The Best of Both Worlds
Oh yeah
Come on
You get the limo out front
Hottest styles, every shoe, every color
Yeah, when you're famous it can be kinda fun
It's really you but no one ever discovers
In some ways you're just like all your friends
But on stage you're a star
You get the best of both worlds
Chill it out, take it slow
Then you rock out the show
You get the best of both worlds
Mix it all together and you know that it's the best of both worlds
The best of both worlds
You go to movie premiers (is that Orlando Bloom?)
Hear your songs on the radio
Livin' two lives is a little weird
But school's cool cause nobody knows
Yeah you get to be a small town girl
But big time when you play your guitar
You get the best of both worlds
Chill it out, take it slow
Then you rock out the show
You get the best of both worlds
Mix it all together and you know that it's the best of both
You know the best of both worlds
Pictures and autographs
You get your face in all the magazines
The best part is that you get to be who ever you wanna be
(Best! Best!) Yeah, the best of both!
(Best! Best!) You got the best of both!
(Best! Best!) Come on, the best of both!
Who would of thought that a girl like me
Would double as a superstar
You get the best of both worlds
Chill it out, take it slow
Then you rock out the show
You get the best of both worlds
Mix it all together and you know that it's the best of both worlds
You get the best of both worlds
Without the shades and the hair
You can go anywhere
You get the best of both girls
Mix it all together
Oh, yeah
It's so much better 'cause you know you've got the best of both worlds
OKay so now that that happened... I hope I can inspire you with these inspirational indie lyrics. I interpret them as a song about mixing tennis shoes with a cute outfit...or about a middle school girl that lives a double life as a teen pop star? Either one. Anyway, I love this outfit for the first week of classes because you can look cute and still be able to walk around campus comfortably. Try mixing your tennis shoes up with your cute outfits and you really will get the best of both worlds.
love,
Maggie...

NYE NYE NYE
Young, Fabulous & Broke Top
H&M Necklace
Free People Jeans
Seychelles Boots
"NYE, NYE, NYE" is what N*SYNC would've sang if they performed at Dick Clarke's New Years Rockin Eve. Anyway, I came to the conclusion a long time ago that New Years Eve is the world's worst holiday and that it should just be forgotten and left in the dust much like beanie babies and butterfly clips. There are just too many expectations and rarely any of them get met. It's always really cold and let's face it, does anyone actually get a New Years kiss these days? As much as I wanted to stay in and watch Lizzie Mcguire on the last night of the year, I figured I'd trying going out--but having zero expectations. Newsflash. It was a great night. I dressed comfortably instead of trying to break out my sparkly heels(even though they are so pretty) and it was the best decision I ever made. AND the best part of my night is when I got home, Lizzie Mcguire was still on! I mean, can you think of any better way to ring in 2015 by watching Disney Channel's greatest show of all time? I sure can't.
If you do anything on New Years, my suggestion is to dress comfortably and to go out with no expectations and just have fun. My other suggestion is to stay in and watch Lizzie Mcguire and eat ice cream. Choose wisely.
Happy 2015!
-Maggie
