Farewell, Summer '15

Banana Republic Top
Kate Spade Necklace
Seychelles Ankle Boots

So, summer's over and let's just say it's been an interesting time. Being home for an entire summer after being away at college for a year is a transition that only those who have experienced it can understand. The most accurate portrayal of this experience is this Saturday Night Live Skit.

Aside from literally living this skit on a daily basis, I have also done more unproductive things like coining the new phrase "spotify and chill," discovering an app called Flipagram in which I make a slideshow for every mundane event that happens to me, and fratting around with my friends.

me 50% of this summer

Needless to say, I've been reckless this summer. Lucky for everyone I head back to school tomorrow so maybe I'll stop annoying everyone by watching Disney Channel and singing showtunes all the time. HAHA who are we kidding that's the biggest lie I've ever told #cantstop #wontstop.

me the other 50% of the summer

Anyway, the outfit I'm wearing above all these strange pics is a sheer pink button-down with my distressed denim shorts. I added my colorful Kate Spade necklace and, go figure, my metallic Seychelles ankle boots. This outfit is super colorful and perfect to go out with a bang to the weirdest summer I've ever had!

PEACE OUT SUMMER,

Maggie

**Also this post is dedicated to Rodger, Justin, Carol, Brody, and Aunt Jemima for making this a great summer! ily

Beach

Top from L'amore at JCP
Kate Spade Necklace
Lost brand shorts from Vignette's

Ah yes, summer. A time for excessive tanning, sleeping, and eating, and, what better place to do all of that stuff than THE BEACH?  The beach is a magical place. It has great food, great weather(most of the time), and great backdrops for photos. What could go wrong?

(actual photo of my best friend at the beach)

Obviously the majority of the population is forgetting that when you combine self-conscious girls in bikinis and a vast body of water that they are expected to walk around like Victoria Secret models, many, MANY things can go wrong. I'm talking sunburns, bathing suits coming untied accidentally, tripping while walking past of a frat collection of guys looking like Channing Tatum/Ryan Gosling hybrids, the list goes on.

(actual photo of me at the beach)

Often times these things result in hiding under a big umbrella(ella) and drinking capri suns (works for me). But, when it's absolutely imperative that you venture out into the salty shores where dead jellyfish and drunk people wash up, it is possible to look decent!

In the outfit above these awk beach pics, I'm wearing a funky tank with tons of neon colors. Neon colors make you look tan, keep calm and wear neon at the beach(sorry about that). On the bottom I'm just wearing denim lace shorts for a casual, yet cute vibe. For the final, and most important piece, I'm wearing a colorful necklace. My advice to make a fun, free people-y outfit while on the beach is to pile on the jewelry. Although I'm only wearing one necklace, this one really speaks for itself.

Oh yeah, another tip for the beach is something I like to call A.W.S.A.A.T.A. It means, Always Wear Sunglasses At All Times Always. I think it speaks for itself.

Class of 2014 BABAY!

Urban outfitters dress
Forever21 Vest
Target bag
random booties

So, with all the music festivals that everyone in the world seems to go to but  me(I wish I could..high school struggles), I was feeling inspired with the hippie, western flare that concert-goers always rock. So, of course, I have to pretend like my school is Lollapalooza and I wore this studded leather vest with a denim dress, and cowgirl booties-basically the three main components of anything westerned themed. It was fun to wear and I suggest that everyone pretend like they're attending a crazy music fest instead of a dull school. Thanks for reading!

SENIOR LADIES TEE

So guys, I AM A SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL!!! Where has the time gone? I hope I didn't spend too much of it on the internet. I am still mind blown that I'm almost old enough to be in college... like wut. Anyway at my high school we have a tradition that on the first day of school all the "senior ladies" wear t-shirts that some of are classmates designed. I am obsessed with traditions and sticking to them so I jumped on this task. I paired my t-shirt with some patterned denim, sandals, my favorite bag ever, and of course, my bookbag! I hope this year will be even better than the last and I can't wait to share my outfits with you!

Maggie

rando ootd

Anthropologie Top
Forever21 shorts
Bag from Barney's Outlet
Random Sandals

So, sorry I've been so nonexistent lately... To my surprise, summer is actually one of the busiest times of the year. And I've been spending a lot of it wearing the high fashions of t-shirts and tank tops! What kind of a fashion blogger am I? Anyway, this was a random outfit I wore to lunch with my mom. I am simply mixing the colors yellow and navy with brown accents. Super fun, super classy looking color combo, I would wear it everyday honestly. Also, they are both solid pieces, making the outfit more dressed up and sophisticated. Till next time!
