~*nYc*~~~~

This one goes out to my favorite city. I love you New York never change.

*clears throat*
*stands on the corner of 58th and 5th ave and serenades the city of New York*

"Now I've had the time of my life
No, I've never felt like this before
Yes I swear it's the truth
And I owe it all to you
'Cause I've had the time of my life
And I owe it all to you
I've been waiting for so long
Now I've finally found someone
To stand by me
We saw the writing on the wall
As we felt this magical fantasy
Now with passion in our eyes
There's no way we could diguise it secretly
So we take each others hand
'Cause we seem to understand the urgency
Just remember
You're the one thing
I can't get enough of
So I'll tell you something
This could be love, because
I've had the time of my life
No I've never felt this way before
Yes I swear it's the truth,
And I owe it all to you
Hey Baby
With my body and soul
I want you more than you'll ever know
So we'll just let it go,
don't be afraid to lose control, no
Yes I know what's on your mind,
when you say "Stay with me tonight"
(Stay with me)
Just remember, you're the one thing,
I can't get enough of
So I'll tell you something,
This could be love because
I've had the time of my life,
(I've had the time of my life)
No, I've never felt this way before,
Yes I swear it's the truth
(Yes I swear)
And I owe it all to you
Cause I've had the time of my life
And I've searched through every open door
(through everywhere)
Till I found the truth
And I owe it all to you
(Instrumental)
(REPEAT 2X)
Now I've had the time of my life
No I never felt this way before (Never Felt this way)
Yes I swear it's the truth
And I owe it all to you
I've had the time of my life
No I never felt this way before
Yes I swear it's the truth
And I owe it all to you
'Cause I've had the time of my life
And I've searched through every open doorTill I've found the truth
And I owe it all to you"
*runs away*

Day 1

So here I stand on my favorite corner in all of the world, West 58th Street and 5th Avenue. I may or may not have just finished singing/dancing to (I Had the) Time of My Life, but I'll leave that for you to decide. Anyway, to bring y'all up to speed, I went to New York with my school to learn more about the fashion industry. We attended meetings and tours of different fashion offices and schools and got the opportunity to chat with industry professionals for a week. It was such an amazing experience. On the first day one of my favorite things we did was tour the Tommy Hilfiger flagship store on Fifth Avenue. It was definitely one of the coolest stores I've ever been in. For my look that day, I kept things casual and simple since we were running around the city all day in meetings. I wore a stripe bag dress, my black hat, and my fav black booties. To add a detail, I tied up the side of my dress to give tiniest bit of personal style.

Day 1 Cont.
Show me your Mumu dress
Mr. Shoe I love u
It's very safe to say that this dress changed my life....for good. *Cue "For Good" from the Wicked soundtrack.* Later this day we went to see Wicked on Broadway. I'm proud to say I cried. If you couldn't tell by now, I love any and all showtunes. After the show we walked around the Theatre District and it just so happened that Matthew Morrison from Glee was leaving his performance of Finding Neverland. Naturally, we forced our way through the crowd to get selfies. Another one of my musical theatre dreams coming true...and all right before your eyes!!!!

Day 2
^with the Valentino section at the Dover Street Market
"Julio get the stretch"
This day was spend tour the Fashion Institute of Technology and visiting offices at Dujour Magazine. We also went to the Dover Street Market and shopped around before our feet fell off. I'm wearing a fringe jacket(it was colddd that day) (by cold I mean below 70 degrees #thatscoldforme) a white leather shirt, my distressed denim jeans, and my black ankle boots. **SPOILER ALERT: I wear those boots everyday in NYC. It was a rad day to say the least.

Day 3

If I had to describe my perfect day, it would have probably consisted of everything that happened on this day. We began our day at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I got to see the newest CHINA exhibit and then I drug everyone I was with to my second favorite place in the world, the MET rooftop. Afterwards we awed at the Upper East Side and then frolicked around Central Park. Then we visited the design offices at Hutch Designs and shopped some more. (Shopping may or may not have been the center of this trip).

Day 3 Cont.
This was one of my favorite looks from the trip. As a group, we all went to dinner and then walked around Times Square. This outfit was simply a white maxi dress with a sheer white crop top over it. I added a pop of color with my pink lips. It was such a fun outfit to wear. If I could get married in this outfit I probably would.

Day 4

This was our last full day in the city:((((((((((((((((. I wore my Free People overalls over a striped top, my H&M statement necklace, and, you guessed it, my black ankle boots. We went all over the city this day and talked with some alumni working in the fashion industry. We also went to Bendel's where I found this ~kewl~ wall. It was a good week.

To conclude: The world is great and all, but NEW YORK is the GREATEST city of ALL TIME.
(that was inspired by Kanye's interruption at the 2009 VMA's about Beyonce's music video over Taylor Swift's)

Basically, Beyonce rules. New York rules. You rule.

love,
Maggie
