Is that John Lennon?

Zara Top
J Brand Jeans
Forever21 Oxfords

Today I was asked if my shirt had a picture of John Lennon on it. Considering it's wearing a skirt and holding a purse....I'm going go with no.....Anyway, graphic tees are always fun to wear, this is just how I wore this particular top. I wanted to keep it simple so I just wore skinny jeans and brown oxfords. Don't be afraid to mix brown with black either. Literally the fashion rule book is dead(see post below this to read more). I hope everyone's having a great school/work year!

I think I just declared boot season

Top from BP Nordstrom
Random Jeans
Brown Boots

Yeah it's August. Yeah it's still super hot in the south. Yeah I've already worn boots multiple times to school. So yeah those "only wear boots in the fall" rules aren't real. Unless your boots are disgusting. Anyway, yeah don't be afraid to break fashion laws. Wear boots in the summer. Wear white after Labor Day. It will stand you out from all the basic sheer chevron outfits. Okay. Yay. Bye.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Fall!

Charlotte Russe Denim Vest
Urban Outfitters Dress
Charles Phillip Shanghai Loafers
Kate Spade Bag

Needless to say, I am tooo ready for fall. I mean, we've all seen that tweet that says "Ugg boots. Football games. Hot chocolate. Cuddling. Leggings. Leaves. Fall. Fun. Yay!" and as much at that tweet is mentally impairing, I must say it's true. I cannot wait for cooler weather and, most importantly, cooler clothes! Fall fashion is the best kind of fashion; I think it's proven to cure diseases. And, although this outfit is still appropriate for the current Georgia weather, I must say I can feel a breeze of autumn a drifting our way. (sorry I was just reading Wuthering Heights). But anyway, this outfit is just a simple red dress with a denim vest over it and polka dot loafers. It's simple. It's comfy. It's cute without being to dressy. It's perf. Alright. Thanks for reading!

I love my job

Top from Vignette's
Jeans
Purse from Urbanog.com
Boots

Guys, I work at a boutique in my hometown called Vignette's. It is seriously the coolest place to be. And as if the beautiful clothes, great prices, awesome candles, and chic-est atmosphere weren't enough, everyone is so nice!  The other employees are great and the owner is one of the coolest ladies I know! It is seriously a dream come true to work there and I hope that this experience can take me on down the road of retail fashion. Anyway, if you're wondering why I keep raving about my awesome job, it's because I got this amazing top I'm wearing there! I got so many compliments on it. I just wore it with simple jeans and brown boots, then I used my bright blue studded bag to highlight the blue on the shirt! I loved it. This outfit made me happy. Okay. Oh yeah. I highly encourage you to check out the Vignette's blog here. Thanks for reading!

Maggie

Teal

Both top and skirt from Deja Vu Boutique

Kate Spade once said, "Playing dress up begins at age five and never truly ends." Sometimes, when you're stuck in the warp of doom that is high school, you have to stand out and shine with your outfit. I did that with this outfit by wearing the best, most flattering color on anyone, teal, with my sparkly khaki skirt. I took two pieces that can stand alone and brought them together to form an outfit. Or a compound sentence. Either one. Well, thanks for reading! I love you guys!

How to wear............. HAREM PANTS

Everly Top
Pants from Marshall's
Shoes from urbanog.com

Harem pants, grandma pajamas, mom capris- whatever you call them- this is how I wore mine! This everly top is so unique with the half and half thing it's got going on, and these studded cheetah print oxfords are my spirit animals, so put them all together and you get the coolest outfit ever. However, there are many different ways to wear harlem pants, whether with a loose tee and tennis shoes, or a tight tank with tall heels, these pants can bring out the diva in all of us!

Here are some looks I found that I love and would definitely wear!

Hopefully these can inspire you!

Black & White

Forever21 Top
Random necklaces
Jeans
Boots
Kate Spade Bag

Everything's better in black and white, right? Today I wore a simple tank with skinny jeans. I then put on tall black boots and doubled up some necklaces. It was super simple, super comfy day. Black and white literally transforms something really simple into an extremely classy, elegant outfit. So, whenever you're feeling like you don't know what to wear, or you're stuck in that weird "wear like 230948 different neon colors at one time"(we've all been there) then you should try an all black and white outfit!

Basics Not Basic

Thrifted Leather Vest
H&M Top
Skinny Jeans
Clark's flats

Dear Mondays,
I just would like to say thanks for being worse than sparkly pink uggs and for making me feel sadder than an 20 year old at a teen club. I really appreciate all the tears you've caused and, not to mention, the days when you and the rain clouds decide to hook up and produce this dark, rainy Monday love child. But nothing is as worse as the damper you put on the young, bright eyed girls who are just trying to look cute without getting spat on by your weird Monday fluid. Really thanks. It's really cool.
-JUST AN AVERAGE TEENAGE GIRL WITH A KIND HEART

Okay, so now that that's over, I just would like to say, Mondays don't have to be a bad thing! At least, with your outfit that is... If you don't believe me, just look at my outfit. All I am wearing is a simple gray tank top with skinny jeans and flats. Then I threw on a leather vest and a did a messy side braid. THAT'S IT. Basics are the key for Mondays. They are as simple, if not simpler than a t shirt and jeans and they look so much better. So, when next Monday hits, don't be basic. Wear basics.
-Maggie

p.s. sorry for that awful play on words. it's monday.

You can stand under my u-m-b-r-e-l-l-a

Forever 21 top
Target necklace
J.Crew skirt
Sandals from Century21 in NYC :)

Here's the thing: Rain is great and rain outfits are cute, but not fOR DAYS ON END AND FOOTBALL GAMES GET CANCELED. Okay sorry. So, today I'm wearing lots of neon and I balanced it out with a classic stripe shirt and black sandals. This outfit is just really simple pieces combined into a super bright, but classic outfit. And, yes, I did get very wet while trying to take these picture and my lovely mom and sometimes my photographer in her rain gear was most likely cursing this blog but I don't care because you're reading this and this is a run off sentence but I don't care because I have senior swag. OMG. I should seek help. Well, I hope everyone has a weekend filled with smiles and friends and a touch of Disney channel. okay bye.

Things

Top from vignettes
Scarf from Anthropologie
Belt from Gap
Jeans from Madewell

I am just wearing lots of things in this outfit...........But I think it works, right? I'm wearing this super cute polka dot top tucked into my favorite Madewell jeans with a hot pink belt! Then I threw a summer-y scarf on and a high pony(I'm trying to bring high ponies back...). I also tucked my top in only a little in the front on my jeans-something I've seen a lot of lately. You should try it! Also, never be afraid to pull out a summer scarf! They will keep you warm in a freezing school.

Red: The Blood of Angry Men. Black: My world when she's not there.

Century21 Top
Jbrand jeans
Michael Kors Loafers
Kate Spade bag

Yep. It's a Les Mis kind of day. Today I wore this amazing leather top I got in New York City(check out my NYC post here) with simple jeans and my favvvv red Michael Kors loafers. Since this top has a lot going on, I simply wore it with blue jeans and flats. Keep that in mind if you have a crazy top you want to wear, though, I'm all for mixing patterns so don't take that too seriously. This outfit was fun and made me feel chic so yeahhhh.....
That's all.

Class of 2014 BABAY!

Urban outfitters dress
Forever21 Vest
Target bag
random booties

So, with all the music festivals that everyone in the world seems to go to but  me(I wish I could..high school struggles), I was feeling inspired with the hippie, western flare that concert-goers always rock. So, of course, I have to pretend like my school is Lollapalooza and I wore this studded leather vest with a denim dress, and cowgirl booties-basically the three main components of anything westerned themed. It was fun to wear and I suggest that everyone pretend like they're attending a crazy music fest instead of a dull school. Thanks for reading!

bow wowwwwwww

Topshop top
Anthropologie bow
Shoes from Franchesa's
Kate Spade bag

Hey guys! Monday was a rough day for me because it was.... well, Monday. I knew I would not want to get up and actually do my hair, makeup, etc. So, I decided to use this superrrr cute bow I got from Anthropologie and center my outfit around it. I wore a simple black peplum top, skinny jeans, and cute oxfords. I styled my bow underneath my top knot for a different spin on things. Try incorporating a bow into your outfit today.

Anchored Down to School

Papaya Shirt
Gap Cardigan
JBrand jeans
not sure where these flats are from...

So, the first weeks of school are always the worst! With homework, clubs, other stuff, I am LITERALLY anchored down to my school (anchor shirt....yeah....). The only way to Django Unchain yourself (omg srry) from the evil bricked walled skewl is to... dress the best you possibly can! I promise you will instantly feel better about yourself and about the terrible situation you're in(school). So, this outfit is simple, but it's fun to wear! It's super colorful and J.Crew-ish(yeah idk) with the stripes, anchor, skinny jeans, flats, and a simple side braid. Yep. Sorry this post is so rando. Yeah. Well, hopefully this helped. I seemed to have left my writing skills in my locker today. School</3.

whY SL

DIY YSL tee
J.Crew Necklace

DIY Forver21 vest
skinny jeans
H&M flats
Kate Spade Bag

This is one of my favorite type of looks to wear! I love mixing this DIYed graphic tee with a fancy statement necklace, a classy looking vest, simple jeans, neon flats, and a designer bag. It's like 40238940 styles into one look- kind of like what I try to do everyday.... Anyway, I highly suggest diy-ing one of your own graphic tee. Whether is a mock designer tee, a favorite quote, or artwork, there is always plenty to wear with graphic tees! This is one of the ways I have. Hope you like it!

Day 2

Charlotte Russe Denim Vest
Polo tee
H&M skirt
Oxfords from Franchesa's

Okay, it's the second day of senior year. Is it too early to have senioritis? Just kidding... I think... So I put on a simple white tee and this polka dot skater skirt, then added sparkly oxfords and a denim vest. Instead of wearing my denim vest loose and opened, I decided to button some of the buttons for a more preppy, school-girl feel. Try wearing your denim vest buttoned up for a change of look. Hope everyone starting high school or college is having a great time!

Maggie

SENIOR LADIES TEE

So guys, I AM A SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL!!! Where has the time gone? I hope I didn't spend too much of it on the internet. I am still mind blown that I'm almost old enough to be in college... like wut. Anyway at my high school we have a tradition that on the first day of school all the "senior ladies" wear t-shirts that some of are classmates designed. I am obsessed with traditions and sticking to them so I jumped on this task. I paired my t-shirt with some patterned denim, sandals, my favorite bag ever, and of course, my bookbag! I hope this year will be even better than the last and I can't wait to share my outfits with you!
xoxo,
Maggie
