Garden Combat

Forever21 Top
Urbanog Boots

THE BOOTS!! These floral combat boots are kind of like my adopted children (my kate spade is my blood related child) and I love them a lot. I centered the outfit around them, if you could not tell. Just a maroon shirt with a simple long necklace. But back to the boots.... I get varied responses like "OMG COOL SHOES," and "cool shoes....?" My favorite one so far was, "wow you could perform combat in a flower garden!"

happy happy happy

Hey guys! Today I just want to remind everyone that, no matter what's going on in your life, ALWAYS remember to smile! Things will get better. And, even if you're having the worst day of your life, just remember that Lizzie McGuire wore a unicorn sweater on her school picture day. On that note, today I'm wearing an blue ombre fringe top with a mustard yellow scarf. On the bottom, just skinny jeans and brown boots. This outfit is an awesome transition piece from summer to fall because of the scarf, jeans, and boots with the sleeveless top. The colors are also darker for fall. Hope this can give some inspiration for the weird in-between season we're in!

Lol Fall Where You At?

Mink Pink Top
Skinny Jeans
Random Necklace & Boots

So.........fall clothes are out, people are wearing fall clothes, why is it sTILL SO HOT?????? Well, my solution to this problem is to simply wear fall clothes anyway, who cares if you sweat? Who cares if you're friends stop talking to you because you smell? You will look(and feel) super cute in fall clothes! Today I wore this interesting striped thing with cutouts on the shoulders. I thought it was fun and I wanted to highlight the top the most. So, I wore my hair up and added a simple necklace and boots. No matter how you look at them, Mondays are always lazy day. This is lazy enough for me. Love you guys!

Maggie

Cause I'm On Top of the World AYE

Random Boutique shirt
Jeans
Black Boots

This Friday was the ending to a very long week. I was so happy that I climbed on top of my car(the world) to celebrate. This outfit was centered around this super funky top, so I just wore jeans and boots. I just want to say thanks to everyone reading. I love my followers very much:)

Random Outfit

Papaya Button down
Goodwill leather vest
Gap Jeans
Urbanog shoes
Kate Spade bag

All I have to say about this outfit is that I literally just kept throwing things on and it seems to work. I started out with the blue pants and the white button down. I put on my leather vest and added a pop of print with the cheetah studded oxfords. Finally I grabbed my striped Kate Spade for a little mixing of the prints. It's so random that it kind of works. Right? I hope. If you run out of things to wear, try starting out with a white top and colored jeans and then go from there.

Maggie

Mumford Mania continued

Mumford & Sons "Gentlemen of the Road" tour tee
Urban Outfitters jacket
J Brand Jeans

Is that a monster? A zombie? No, it's me at school the day AFTER the Mumford & Sons concert. Yeah it may look like my head is glowing but it's actually just the frizz coming off my hair. And yeah did I mention no makeup? But okay guys. We've all been here right? After a concert, a midnight premiere, all night study session, etc. are all appropriate to show up to school the next day looking like a kind of ghost-like version of yourself. The one tip I can give is to be that girl that wears the t-shirt from the concert she went to the night before. It lets people know you have an excuse. If you do not have a t-shirt or some sort of proof of attendance(maybe a strip of confetti) then my suggestion is to zip up your hood and avoid all human contact.

Mumford Mania

Forever21 Top (thanks Sara Hess)
Gap Cardigan
Urban Outfitters Short
Target bag
Random cowgirl booties

No explanation needed. Mumford & Sons are even better in person. End of story. If you've never listened to have, I highly recommend it! If you've heard them but never seen them in concert, I even more highly recommend it! Getting a chance to attend their concert was an amazing opportunity enough, but the only catch was "what do I wear?" To solve this problem, I decided to go very "music festival-ish." Seeing is the closest I've ever been to one is studying style blogs, I knew this was my only chance. I wore a hipsterific tank with some studded denim shorts. For the shoes, I rocked my cowgirl booties(wayyyy different than cowgirl boots okay) and I completed my look with a crossbody bag, clubmaster sunnies, and a large stack of bracelets and rings. Although it looks like I'm wearing a lot in this outfit, it is actually just a simple tank and cutoff shorts. It was cool while still being "weather-appropriate" in this unbearable Georgia heat. I hope anyone who is more confused than my mom was when I asked her if she's ever heard of Mumford & Sons about how to dress for a outdoor concert or music festival can used this as an example!

The ONLY decent pic I got of Mumford and his offspring, there were SO many people

lovely monday

Zara Top
H&M Necklace
Kate Spade Bag

This outfit makes me happy. It's comfy. It's colorful. It's cute. Enough said. I think pairing a comfy sweatshirt type top with a nice looking necklace can completely transform an outfit from lazy to lovely. Try grabbing your favorite pullover and add a statement necklace!

Happy Fashion Week!

Top from Vignette's<3
Jeans
Boots

Remember, remember the fifth of September... because New York fashion week kicked of today for Spring 2014 collections. OMG SORRY FOR THAT. Okay so I'm wearing this shirt from Vignette's today and I am OBSESSED with it. It's literally "me" in shirt form. But yeah, I wore it simply with skinny jeans and brownish boots. If you haven't noticed by now, I'm one of those people that likes to mix black and brown. My outfit I made simple because I wanted the shirt to standout. So, if you have a crazy shirt, make your outfit simple so you don't look too crazy. Unless you want to be crazy. OMG srry I am allll over the place... Well, bye!
Love,
Maggie

Falling for Fall

Urban Outfitters Dress
Old Navy Cardigan
Target sandals

Okay....It's past labor day.... it's September.... IT NEEDS TO BE FALL ALREADY. That's all I ask of you. (Phantom of the Opera reference srry) (I <3 musicals) (fun facts). But okay, since it is NOT fall yet... I kind of declared it was anyway with my outfits. So I'm wearing a short dress with sandals, but I put a simple, dark colored, striped cardigan over it. The cardigan alone made this outfit a more autumn ready style. Yet I'm still wearing sandals to cope with the heat here in the south. There are many ways to wear half summer/half fall styles in this weird mid-season time we are in right now. Thanks for reading!

Cool Robot Shirt?

Lucy Paris top
Jeans
Baker's boots

First off let me say, I LOVE THIS SHIRT. I don't care if it may give me a headache, it's still perfect. And I don't care if it has robots on it. I don't. Anyway, I just wore this with jeans and combat boots. It was simple because the shirt kind of speaks for itself(it is saying "Maggie stop obsessing over me") (whoops sorry).
love,
Maggie

Labor Day Weekend Baby

H&M top
Gap cardigan
Forever21 shorts
Cork bag from vignette's

I'm wearing a crop top because. Just because. For those of us adolescents who have been in school for FOUR WEEKS, Labor Day weekend is a blessing. For those of you who start school AFTER Labor Day like it's suppose to be, I basically hate you/want to be you. Well, to discuss this outfit, if you want to wear a crop top, but feel a little uncomfortable showing your stomach/feel like it's too revealing, try wearing a long cardigan over it. The cardigan helps you feel more comfortable strutting your stuff and can be used as a cover up if needed. I hope everyone had a great long weekend!

Maggie

*feels basic for wearing a frocket tee

Anthropologie tee
Jeans
Boots

Okay at least my pocket isn't monogrammed right? Right. So I'm wearing a reallyyyyyy simple outfit today. Literally just a tee, jeans, and boots. This is kind of my version of the classic t-shirt, jeans, and wallabies. Tall boots dress up any outfit (I'm worn these like 323853920 times since schools started) so definitely wear boots when want to spice up a regular t-shirt or V-neck. Yeah okay.
love,
Maggie

Librarian Chic

Gap top
Urban Outfitters Skirt
Black boots

In the words of Rachel Berry, "librarian chic" is a style that can only please a few unique individuals. However, I spiced mine version up a bit with a tight pencil skirt and tall boots. Yet, while I was doing this, I was mixing patterns as well. I got a lot of questions about how to mix patterns without looking like you're not matching. My answer is simple: when you're mixing patterns, try to use patterns that all have at least one of the same color in them. For example, my top has a black stripe, my skirt has a black diamond thing(idk), and my boots are black. It's hardly noticeably, but when you look at the outfit as a whole, the black(and white) theme is carried out from head to toe. Now, if you're feeling crazy and WANT to mix patterns that have no relation whatsoever, I salute you! You rock. If you have any more questions about mixing patterns or want to send me pictures of your outfit, email me at maggiea95@comcast.net!
