TRIP TO NEW YORK CITY

Hello all, if you have been following me on my instagram, you know very well that I FINALLY MADE IT TO NEW YORK! Visiting, seeing, living, even touching New York City has been a dream of mine since before the pre-reconstruction era (sorry I've been missing APUSH lately). Basically I've been obsessed for my entire life (I blame too many viewings of Eloise at the Plaza) and actually getting to go to the greatest city in the world was indescribable for me. Not to mention I got to experience the city with my two best and longest friends! A dream come true right?! YES! The trip could not have been more perfect, from sightseeing, to Bergdorf Goodman, to minor shoe mishaps, the trip was like living in a filterless scenic instagram picture. But okay, here's the quickest synopsis ever of my three and a half day trip: We arrived at our hotel around 3:00pm on Saturday and went straight to the Upper West Side. We saw the Gossip Girl made famous Empire Hotel, Lincoln Center, Century 21, Central Park, Columbus Circle, and more! Next day(Sunday) we toured, shopped, walked, lived, kissed(just kidding), the Upper East Side and Fifth Ave! We went to the MET, the Plaza, Bergdorf's, and more and I DIED! Monday(I'm so dead of happiness by this point) we went shopping in Soho(loved), then went to the Top of Rockfeller Center(loved!), and that night saw Phantom of the Opera on Broadway(LOVEDDDDD!). Finally, our last day, we awoke super early to stop by Good Morning America then to catch a quick brunch before our flight. Our plans were slightly altered when we realized KARLIE KLOSS was going to be on GMA! Of course we stayed and my friend Eric even got a picture with her! And, just like that, our trip was over and we were back on a flight to Nowhere, GA.

Now here are my main OOTD's from the trip. Let me just say there were a lot of wardrobe changes on my part:)

Random Sandals

So, sorry I've been so nonexistent lately... To my surprise, summer is actually one of the busiest times of the year. And I've been spending a lot of it wearing the high fashions of t-shirts and tank tops! What kind of a fashion blogger am I? Anyway, this was a random outfit I wore to lunch with my mom. I am simply mixing the colors yellow and navy with brown accents. Super fun, super classy looking color combo, I would wear it everyday honestly. Also, they are both solid pieces, making the outfit more dressed up and sophisticated. Till next time!

Random Rainbow

Everly top
Jeans from Urban Outfitters
Flats from Urban Outfitters

Rainbows are always good things. Always. If any of you have been victimized by this tragic daily rain weather, the appearance of rainbow kind of makes you remember it IS actually summer, and not that town in Twilight. Anyway, I wore this outfit to church. It's just a simple red sheer top, white jeans, and my floral flats. I threw this together in a total of five minutes, so you can too! As basic as white jeans can be sometimes, I have to admit they really come in handy when wanting to dress up a top. I could've worn this top with regular blue jeans and it probably wouldn't even be blogworthy. So, whenever your in need of a dressy-ish outfit, grab one of your favorite tops and pair it with white jeans!
Love,
Maggie

King Street Judith March

Elle Peplum Top
Judith March Shorts
Tory Burch Crossbody
Black Sandals

Hello friends! I recently went to visit my lovely sister in Charleston and did some casual shopping on King Street while I was there. I centered my outfit around my shorts because I LOVE THEM. I wore the plain coral peplum top and black accessories in order to stay simple while still making a statement. Not sure if you guys have noticed but I am completely obsessed with shorts in the summer. I probably own at least 15 pairs.....it's bad. And Charleston's King Street just happens to be a mecca to fuel my shopping addiction. If you haven't been, GO. That is all. Well, actually no that's not all. I just wanted to say thanks for continuing to read my blog even if it is summertime and I seem to be having issues of staying consistent. But, YOU GUYS, my readers, even if there's only a few people viewing a day, YOU MAKE MY DAY EVERYDAY. Okay, now I'm done.
Much love,
Maggie

Allllllll American

Top from Know Style
Forever21 shorts
cowgirl boots
vintage sunglasses
old bandana
American flag:)

I know it's been forever since I've posted, but my summer schedule has actually been crazy. It literally doesn't even feel like summer yet....and it's July. On a lighter note, it IS the Fourth of July aka our great country's birthday. To show my American pride, or should I say 'Merican pride, I wore a crochet American flag top, denim cutoffs, and cowgirl boots. Yes, I own cowgirl boots. Not sure why but wearing them makes me feel like I actually WAS born and raised in the south, which I was. Anyway, this is a great look for the Fourth or anytime of the year when you feel like showing your country some love. Hears to the Red, White, and Blue, Y'all! (this is the most country I will ever be.)
Love,
Maggie
